Young
MarinesThe Douglas County Young Marines was founded in 2005 as the Castle Rock Young Marines. In 2007 the name was changed to the Douglas County Young Marines because of the overwhelming support given to the unit by communities throughout Douglas County.
Currently, the unit consists of 45 Young Marines, ranging in age from 8 to 17 years old. The staff consists of 6 Marines, 1 retired Army 1stSgt, and 6 civilian volunteers.
We have 3 color guard teams and an armed drill team (mock rifles) that have competed in a national drill competition. Our unit strives to continually challenge the Young Marines both physically and mentally while promoting a healthy drug-free lifestyle.
We meet every other Saturday from 0900-1500 at Lutheran High School Parker in Parker, Colorado. Interested individuals must first complete recruit training to earn the title of "Young Marine". For more information on the next recruit training schedule, please click on Recruit Training under the About Us link at the top of the page.
